Our web site development tool of choice is Joomla! - an open source Content Management System similar to WordPress but a lot more powerful. We've produced websites using Joomla! for some big brands including Fenner Dunlop, Dunlop DIY (Ardex), and Fresenius Medical Care. And we've built a wide range of projects for the NSW Department of Education using Joomla! which are used by teachers across NSW for professional learning.
A few years ago Adobe Flash was all the rage when it came to delivering animated, interactive content - but when Apple decided not to support it on their mobile platform - it died - and we cried.
But then we discovered Tumult Hype - a HTML5 based animation and interactive design tool similar to Flash - but not dead. In fact, it's even better than Flash in many ways and is an excellent tool for creating web content that goes beyond the usual text and image based web page. We've used it to create animated, interactive infographics and mobile friendly interactions that "just work" across all browsers and mobile devices every time. We like it!
